Udayanath College of Science & Technology, Adaspur (Cuttack) emerged Zone-V champions of the Utkal University Inter-College Cricket Tournament, beating Government College of Physical Education (Bhubaneswar) in the final by 20 runs here at Town Club ground today.
More than 20 colleges participated in this tournament, which was hosted by Ekamra College from November 8. Eminent cricket coach Kishore Mania handed over the trophy at the valedictory function. Ekamra College Principal Ashok Kumar Pradhan and Sport In-charge Manoj Kumar Mohapatra were present on the occasion.
BRIEF SCORE (Final): Udayanath College 160/8 in 30 overs (Soubhagya Mishra 30, Sagar Swain 28, Nilu Pradhan 26, Pratik Anurag Das 20; Om Bikash Nayak and Sudipta Swain each 2 wkts) beat Govt College of Physical Education 140/10 in 25 overs (Om Bikash Nayak 52; Ajit Rout and Soubhagya Mishra each 3 wkts) by 20 runs.
